Khirbet Qeiyafa (Elah Fortress, Hirbet Kaifeh), Israel is an ancient fortress from the time of King David, overlooking the Elah Valley.Yosef Garfinkel and Saar Ganor have identified the site as the biblical city of Sha'arayim because of the two gates discovered on the site. The archaeological project was co-sponsored by the Institute of Archaeology at Southern Adventist University and the Institute of Archaeology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The excavations took place from 2007-2013\nShaaraim.
